Something went wrong at the sausage factory, and a batch of defective sausages was produced. They threw these sausages onto a conveyor belt headed for the meat processor, but there the sausages came to life and ran for their lives to escape certain death.
At the beginning of the game, you receive two secret identities (only one with 5 or 6 players). Each turn, you play one of your three hand cards and then draw a new one. These cards allow you to move the sausages (including those of other players). There are also cards featuring Major Mustard and Mrs. Mayonnaise that can throw a wrench in the works. Plus, the beautiful Miss Ketchup will be keeping an eye on things.
Once everyone has had a turn, the conveyor belt is activated and all the sausages move toward the meat processor. A new round then begins with a new starting player. Eventually, the sausages will fall into the meat processor one by one. If you have the last surviving sausage, you win the game. So, your sausages may already have fallen into the meat processor, but in that case, you simply continue playing.
Once you're eliminated, you'll be busy plotting your revenge. The eliminated players will try to create a situation where the last sausages on the conveyor belt fall into the meat processor together, leaving no winner. This is truly the Worst Case Scenario! But it's not as simple as it seems. Who owns the sausages on the conveyor belt, and who do you need to cooperate with to trigger the Worst Case Scenario?
Please note: There is a French/Dutch version and an English/German version of Wurst Case Scenario.
